From March for Our Lives
We are the student leadership of March For Our Lives Seattle and we are reaching out to you to provide information about the event that is taking place on March 24th, 2018. Our route takes us through your neighborhood and we want to make sure we provided all of the relevant details so you are able to plan accordingly.
On Saturday, March 24, march participants from the greater Seattle area and throughout Washington will be marching in solidarity with marches across the nation to demand safe, gun-free schools and common-sense gun control regulation. The event will start in Cal Anderson Park and travel to Seattle Center. We will begin setting up at Cal Anderson Park at 6 am. The program will begin at 10 am, though most people will begin to arrive to the park at 9 am. The march itself will begin at 11am and we expect that the last marchers will clear the streets by 2 pm. Cleanup will be done by 4pm. We have included a map of the route below.
We apologize for any inconvenience the march may cause you but hope to have your support as we march to honor those who have been affected by gun violence and demand action to protect our schools and communities from senseless shootings. This march is for the future of our students and our country, and are so grateful for the outpouring of support from local businesses and the broader community.
We would like to assure you that we are committed to making every effort to encourage marchers to be mindful of having a low impact on our march route regarding garbage and respecting private property. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the march or are interested in helping us out, you can reach out to our founders, Rhiannon Rasaretnam and Emilia Allard. They can be reached at our email, email@example.com.
