A new 14-story building with 161 residential units plus retail is under construction on the triangular KOMO TV parking lot at 4th and Denny.
Fisher Broadcasting, owners of KOMO, sold the property for $3.9 million to HB 4th & Denny LLC, which obtained an excavation permit for a 114-space garage before transferring ownership of the project to a new entity called simply 4th & Denny.
The new building will have the best views in town of the Space Needle,
Some residents of the nearby Alto apartments will likely lose their views because of the construction, and the Chief Seattle statue on Tilikum Place will lose a bit of sunlight.
The Seattle architectural firm of Hewitt is designing the project, which will be known–for now, at least– as 2720 Fourth Avenue.
