Contemporary Art at The Upstairs

Well, its coming towards the end of the month and if you haven’t checked it go hit the The Upstairs for the current exhibit of Seattle Artists.

Owner Cory Chigbrow selects and curates a contemporary blend of art that is conversational and appealing to the eye. Art pieces range from figurative, narrative, realism, landscapes, all done in the modern contemporary realm; relevant to taste any guest passing through.

The Art, hung salon style is presented crisp and clean as though you walked into Seattle’s coolest on the down low rotating gallery. Each piece is numbered while the tables are garnished with an Eatable Title Sheet. The Title Sheets change flavor daily. The day I went, it was black bean quesadilla.  Just joking about the Title Sheet being eatable, though it is a good idea.

If you’re an early bird, The Upstairs opens at 5pm. It really is the best time to just embrace yourself in the art with nothing or no one around, except for a cocktail or a pint of one of the rotating taps. Cruise in later, chill and chat. Any tourists that like art, stop on in when exploring Seattle.

The month of May show at the Upstairs will feature guest curator Michael Tolleson. Michael Tolleson, owner of Heart of Spectrum and Continuum Gallery will be curating a show exhibiting artist within the full spectrum of Autism/Aspergers.

See you at the Side Show!!!
