City University of Seattle is moving from their Bellevue HQ into the former Group Health building at 6th and Wall starting January, 2013. To celebrate their move, Seattle residents who are first-time registrants of their courses can get a 20% discount on programs, though I’m not sure if that means starting this year or next year. According to their website (www.cityu.edu) they were founded in 1973 and have an emphasis on continuing education. They are accredited by ” the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, a regional accrediting body approved by the U.S. Department of Education”. They offer B.A., B.S. and graduate programs, as well as certificates and exam prep programs, for over 60 programs across 27 locations, including study abroad opportunities. Sounds like it should bring some good energy to that end of Belltown!
