Dog and cat lovers will have a chance to find new pets at an adoption event hosted at an apartment-and-retail complex on Sunday.
Six animal-rescue groups are expected to bring more than 75 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens of various sizes and breeds for adoption. The event runs noon-3 p.m. at Archstone-Belltown at 500 Wall St., Seattle.
“We usually have quite the variety,” said Andrea Logan, president of Pawsitive Alliance, a North Bend animal-welfare charity that is hosting the event.
In other Belltown Pet related news, a new pet shop is opening up in the neighborhood (220 Blanchard) . 2nd Leash On Life are planning on opening their doors on May 20th. The latest we saw is that they’re remodeling the entire shop with some great murals. Here’s a word from the owner..
I would sit in my cube wishing my dog was at work with me and imagining having my own store with natural, organic foods and unique accessories. I was planning the store long before my last day at work. It took until 2010 to get serious about a store then go through the process starting with working with an small business advisor before 2nd Leash On Life was born. It took alot longer to find a space that would work with the budget I was begining to think it won’t happen but the dream is coming true and I can’t wait for everyone to see it.
Welcome to the neighborhood!
