A hotel for Belltown

PalladianA year or so from now, there’s going to be a fancy, 97-room hotel at the corner of Second and Virginia, to occupy the renovated interior of the Palladian apartments.

One wonders what the developers are thinking when they say the property will “embody the gritty elegance of the city,” and will include a modest 1,100 square feet of “swank meeting and event space, a trend-setting restaurant and a lounge with an edgy urban vibe.”

Then again, the developer is none other than Kimpton Properties, which has a great track record (just in Seattle: the Monaco, the Alexis and the Vintage Park). A total 0f 60 hotels and 70 restaurants around the country.
