2018 Belltown Beats: Call for Visual Artists – Bell Street Park
WHAT: Ten visual artists are needed to demonstrate their artistic process during Belltown Beats: Artist Workshops in the Park. Belltown Beats is a weekly Friday night event that includes performances by local musicians, artists working in the Park, and games located in Bell Street Park.
WHERE: Friday Nights in the nationally recognized Bell Street Park for 12 weeks beginning June 15th through August 31st from 6 to 8:30 PM.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to demonstrate and explain some aspect of your artistic process to a wide variety of Park visitors. Artists must display their own original artwork on tables provided. Sales are also permitted. Since artists are outdoors, flexibility is a must. Preference is given to Belltown-connected artists.
STIPEND: Artists receive $100 per Friday stipend.
PROVIDED: One 6’ table, chairs, canopy tent, and electricity (limited number available) are provided.
SUBMISSION: Please e-mail (1) a short bio; (2) photos of your work; (3) a sentence or two on how you will interact with the Park visitors; (4) daytime and evening contact information; and (5) specify what Fridays you will be available to firstname.lastname@example.org.
