Give a gift that makes a difference and supports programming at your Belltown Community Center! As part of the Belltown Artwalk on December 13 from 6-8 p.m., the community center will feature two new artists, and 10% of sales from each art sale will be donated to the center. Funds donated will directly benefit programs at Belltown Community Center, from purchasing class supplies to contributing to the center’s scholarship fund. The center is also selling five refurbished bikes, including a his/her set. The bikes are from Bicycle Pull Apart, a local favorite of the Belltown neighborhood. Again, a portion of the bike sales will be donated to the community center.
The center’s featured artists are Adrian Wyard and Sarah Ghanooni. Adrian is a photographer, who “sees” beyond first impressions and reveals the more subtle layers of meaning in objects, buildings and places. he ahs traveled the world, mixing technical skill with keen observation and emotional openness. Sarah defines herself as a custom artist and muralist. Her works, full of big brushstrokes and colors, often express what she cannot say in words. Her paintings features some of Seattle’s favorite gems.
While you’re strolling through the center, admiring the artwork, you’ll also enjoy free food from the Lost Pelican, carolers, and you’ll even get to make your own Lego craft with teachers from Bricks 4 Kidz.
