Stand-Up Coffee Bars…A place for conversation

This is a Belltown public service announcement.

There is a lovely retail space on 1st avenue neighboring Black Bottle that has been up for lease. It looks lonely, like a cute puppy at the pound.

It’d be perfect for a stand up coffee bar concept like this;

A latte at Bluebird. “A coffee shop should be a place to meet your friends and hold conversations and cultivate ideas instead of — I’m going to get in trouble for saying this, so I have to be careful — instead of sticking your head in a laptop,” said Mark Connell, who owns Bluebird with his wife, Jessica.

  1. I looked at it and thought letterpress shop, but I guess a coffee bar would be fun too. Maybe a combo?

  2. you should go for it Sara! I wonder how much they want for the space? I bet you could get the black bottle guys to serve some new food items out of their kitchen – sounds like a cool concept.
